Why You Should Go:

The Ledges Overlook in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is one of the most popular vistas in Ohio and is a fantastic place to watch the sunset if you don’t mind being joined by at least a dozen other fellow hikers. The overlook is the high point of the Ledges Trail, a 2-mile trail that passes by some of the most dramatic sandstone ledges in Northeast Ohio. The overlook is perched atop the nearly 100-foot tall ledges and is another 100 feet above Cuyahoga River. The overlook gives you views across the expansive Cuyahoga Valley and is a wonderful overlook to check out in the fall.

How to get there:
Park at the main ledges parking lot and walk back down the road you came in on. Be on the lookout for the Ledges Trail that crosses the road here. Once you’ve found it, turn right on the trail and follow it for a few minutes until it takes you to the overlook. You can either return the way you came in or cut across the large grassy field back to your car.
