Description
Located at the last point on the Ohio river before it travels to Indiana and eventually to the Mississippi River, the Shawnee Lookout boasts expansive views of the Ohio River Valley, the rolling hills surrounding it, and the Indiana town of Lawrenceburg right across the OH-IN border. The 2430-acre park that surrounds the overlook also offers views of the Great Miami River just to the north, has almost 5 miles of trails, two 18th century structures, and a golf course.
Directions
A parking lot is located directly next to the overlook at 2008 Lawrenceburg Road, where the road intersects with Shawnee-Lookout Park Road. From here you shouldn’t have too much difficulty finding the view.
