Indian Point by Jacob Teed

Indian Point Park

Part of the Lake Metroparks system, Indian Point Metro Park is best known for it’s 100+ foot tall ridge that overlooks the confluence of the Grand River and Paine Creek. Other than the ridge, this park is home to Indian Point Falls, a 15-foot double-decker waterfall tucked away deep in the woods off-trail. Just upstream from Indian Point Park is Paine Falls, the most impressive waterfall on Paine Creek.

Trails:
Paine Creek Trail:
.41 miles, Easy
Trail Description: This is a relatively flat and relaxing trail that follows Paine Creek upstream. It starts at the bridge upstream from the main trailhead and is a one-way trail.

Point Loop Trail:
Length: 1 mile
Difficulty: Easy/Strenuous
Trail Description: Depending on the weather conditions, this trail can extremely easy or extremely difficult, that’s because when the weather goes bad they close the road that goes up the ridge, so you'll have to walk up the road just to get to the trailhead, which is extremely steep. This trail makes a loop around the ridge and takes you to Indian Point and beautiful overlooks of Paine Creek and the Grand River.
