The tallest known waterfall in McConnell’s Mill State Park by 35 feet, Alpha Falls is a thin waterfall that drops off a towering rock face in the northern reaches of the state park. Also in the park is the 20-foot Kildoo Falls, the incredibly difficult to reach Breakneck Falls, and Hells Hollow Falls; the park’s largest by volume of water.

Alpha Falls
Getting to Alpha Falls:
Exit Highway 422 on the Park’s northern edge and head south down McConnell’s Mill Road. A third of a mile in on the right side of the road is a small unpaved parking lot that provides quick access to the falls. Park here and take the short trail that descends down to Slippery Rock Creek. You should reach the waterfall within a few minutes.
